I gave her a list of completely random things about my husband, favorite animals, a verse, what he did for a living, things we enjoyed doing together and asked her to paint something that somehow combined those things. When I tell you random, it encompassed things l from medical implant design, to a mantis shrimp, to coffee, plus something to symbolize our children, and a Bible verse. She incorporated it all in a way that somehow is both beautiful, and makes sense. She has a gift for running with ideas and elevating them into lovely heirloom quality pieces of art."
